Benefits/Drawbacks
The system has a largish inverter(5kW) and a decent battery capacity. The total expected operation of this system is 1.65kW per hour during load shed, anymore would not allow you to sustain a 3 hour load shed. You can of course easily add on an addition battery or 2 and get additional benefit. That said, you can power quite a bit with 1.65 kW hours.
Naturally during the course of the day when the solar panels are operational load shedding will be offset by their generation and of course the solar panels will recharge the batteries.
An additional benefit of the system is the inverter which as its own built in charger, thus the system is completely self sustaining and does not require management or user intervention.
Quality
The inverter is a hardy piece of equipment, this unit looks good and is extremely popular locally. Should there be any problem on the inverter it is locally supported. The battery is a decent quality lithium pack and is locally supported. The solar panels are Tier 1 with a 25 year linear output warranty.
